Hi, I’m Dave
I’m an artist and graphic designer with nearly 30 years of varied experience in the creative business world.
In the first two decades of my career, I worked as an art director in boutique agencies and large corporate environments. Through a series of planned and unfortunate events, in 2013, I left my corporate gig and started on my journey as a full-time artist and content creator.
Calling it a scary decision would be an understatement.
Luckily, I already had a reasonably successful blog and podcast which gave me a soft landing as I transitioned to this new life.
I have always been a creative nomad, dabbling in all sorts of creative expression because I want to share my experiences with others.
…And that became the focus of my creative energy.
In late 2022, I turned my personal blog and newsletter into The Hungry because I saw a need for a resource to help creative business owners build and grow.
When I’m not working, though, I spend all my time as a dutiful husband and father, which comes with added responsibilities of taxi service and interim Fortnite teammate.
